A blood drive has been scheduled for next week at Seton Catholic Central High School on Binghamton's West Side.

The event is to be held Wednesday, December 5. It's to run from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The blood drive is open to all eligible donors including school students, faculty and parents. Community residents also may donate blood.

The school is asking parents and residents who'll be donating to sign in at the office.

School principal Richard Bucci says the local blood center needs to collect 67 pints of blood daily to meet the needs of area hospitals.

Seton Catholic Central is located at 70 Seminary Avenue.
