Binghamton Police Seek Graffiti Vandals

Bob Joseph/WNBF News

A reward is being offered as police try to track down those responsible for a graffiti spree in downtown Binghamton.

Authorities say the vandalism was reported Sunday in the area of the Washington Street bridge and Confluence Park.

Detectives say the graffiti included profanity, along with racial and sexist slurs.

The vandalism included damage to the bridge, the Skirmisher war monument and walls along the walk adjacent to the Chenango River.

The police department has posted a $500 reward for information that results in the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

People with information about the graffiti may contact the detective bureau at 607.772.7080.
