Detectives investigating the Lincoln Hotel arson case have been examining images from a Clinton Street surveillance camera that appear to show three people entering building just before the fire.

Binghamton police have released one video segment that shows the trio leaving the sidewalk and walking onto the Lincoln Hotel property.

In a second clip, the three are seen exiting the property about 30 minutes later and then walking east on Clinton Street.

Based on the time stamp shown on the video, the three young people appear to be leaving the hotel property less than two hours before the June 6 fire was reported.

Detective captain Jack Collins told WNBF News investigators hope to identify those seen on the video and determine what occurred prior to the blaze.

Collins said people with information about the identities of the people shown may contact the city police Detective Bureau at 607.772.7080.

City officials ordered the building demolished hours after the fire was extinguished because of concern the structure could collapse.
