Binghamton Police Nab Pizza Shop Heist Suspect

Bob Joseph/WNBF News

A Binghamton man has been arrested in connection with a reported robbery at a South Side Domino’s pizza restaurant.

Authorities say 47-year-old Jeffrey Baker was taken into custody by officers after he fled through a Binghamton General Hospital parking lot.

Investigators say Baker was found shortly after the robbery at 1185 Vestal Avenue, which happened around eleven o’clock Wednesday night.

Police say some cash was taken from the business. They say the weapon displayed in the heist apparently was a pellet gun.

Detectives say a pellet gun that may have been used in the incident was recovered.

Baker was charged with first-degree robbery.
