Two of Section 4's top football powers collide tonight at Ty Cobb Stadium in Endicott.  The Binghamton Patriots who have already clinched the Class AA Division 1  regular season title meet one of New York's  top Class A teams in the Union-Endicott Tigers  ranked number 7 in the State.  The Patriots, ranked 18th in the State AA classification, have reeled off 4 consecutive victories after dropping their season opener to Monroe-Woodbury.

The Tigers are 5-0 following a win over cross-river rival Vestal last weekend.  Both teams have speed to burn. Binghamton quarterback Andre Yevchinecz is superb running the no-huddle offense and adds a big spark whether he keeps it off the snap or hands off to speedsters like Brian Alexander or Amman Weaver.

For U-E Quarterback Joe Orlando also has outstanding running backs to handoff to although one of their best, Sammy Davis, was lost to a lower leg injury last weekend.  Michael Cheslock is expected to do the bulk of the rushing work tonight with bruising fullback Dan Davis either leading the way for Cheslock as a blocker or picking up the tough yardage inside.

Both teams feature bruisng defenses with big interior lineman and outstanding linebackers featuring Davis for U-E and Joe Crowley for the Pats.  Kickoff is set for 7 PM (News Radio 1290 WNBF).
