The holiday season gets off to a big start November 19 in Downtown Binghamton with the 27th annual Boscov’s Downtown Holiday Parade.

The theme this year is sights and sounds of the holidays.

The parade steps off at Main and Arthur Streets at 1:30 p.m. and moves east to the roundabout.

Main and court streets will be blocked off during the duration of the parade.

Bands, floats and, of course, Santa are among the participants.

Also this year the newly renamed minor league baseball team, The Rumble Ponies, will be marching with real ponies.
