The Binghamton Mets will welcome long-time Triplets' broadcaster Ken Gilchrist into the Binghamton Baseball Shrine before tonight's home game with the Akron RubberDucks at NYSEG Stadium.  Scheduled game time is 7:05 with air at 6:50 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.  Gilchrist was "The Voice" of the Triplets for ten years from the mid 50's to mid 60's.  Over that span of time he broadcast games that featured many future New York Yankees including Joe Pepitone, Clete Boyer and Binghamton Met's Official Scorer Steve Kraly.

The B-Mets crushed Akron last night 12-3 as they pounded out 17 hits.  Dilson Herrera went 3-3  with four RBI and Darrell Ceciliani went 3-5 with a home run and three RBI.  Tyler Pill started and went five innings to up his record to 9-5.

Binghamton is 2.5 games out of first place behind the Portland Sea Dogs with 11 games to play in the regular season.  The B-Mets have already clinched a playoff spot.

Greg Peavey gets the start tonight for the B-Mets.  Peavey is 10-3 with the B-Mets with a 3.00 ERA.  Duke von Schamann opposes him on the hill.  He carries a 7-7 record with an ERA of 4.05.

The B-Mets close out their series against Akron tomorrow at 1:05 PM and then welcome the New Britain Rock Cats who will visit for five games  This is Binghamton's final regular season home stand.
