The Binghamton Mets have opened defense of their Eastern League Championship with tonight's game in Akron, Ohio.  Following Tuesday night's Welcome Back Binghamton Mets Dinner the ball club practiced Wednesday at NYSEG Stadium before departing for Akron.

The B-Mets play four straight in Akron then head to Erie for three games including a 12:05 game on Wednesday.  Binghamton returns home to begin its first homestand of the season on Thursday night at 6:35  against the Harrisburg Senators.  Following a four-game series with the Senators Erie invades for three contests.
