For Binghamton Mets fans the time has come.  Opening night.  It's not in Binghamton but the B-Mets will be playing. Tonight at 6:35  (airtime at 6:20 on News Radio 1290 WNBF)  Binghamton opens a brand new season in Akron, Ohio  Pedro Lopez is back for his second season as manager of Binghamton.  Tonight he leads his team into the start of a 142-game Eastern League season.  Rafael Montero gets the ball as the opening night pitcher.

Binghamton plays in Akron through Sunday afternoon then travels to Erie to face the SeaWolves Monday through Wednesday.  Then, next Thursday night the B-Mets host New Hampshire at 6:35 to open up the home schedule at NYSEG Stadium.

The B-Mets will then host the Portland Sea Dogs for a four game series to wrap-up a seven game homestand.  All games home and away will be carried on News Radio 1290 WNBF with the exception of weekday day games.  Those can be heard on 1360 AM WYOS.  Tim Heiman returns for his second season as the play-by-play "Voice" of the Binghamton Mets.
