The Binghamton Mets have been named the New York Mets Affiliate of the Year. The honor was announced today.  Binghamton won the Eastern League Championship this season.  The B-Mets completed a three-game sweep of the Richmond Flying Squirrels in Binghamton on September 12 to capture the team's third Eastern League Championship.  Jayce Boyd slammed a walk-off double in the ninth inning to drive in the winning run and clinch the title.

Paul DePodesta, the New York Mets Vice President of Player Development, said the New York Mets farm system had the best collective won-loss record since 1969.  The Binghamton Mets will open their 24th season April 9th, 2015 in Akron.  The home opener is set for April 16.
