Binghamton Mets Look to Snare Flying Squirrels Tonight
The Binghamton Mets host the Richmond Flying Squirrels in the second game of their three-game series at NYSEG Stadium. Last night Binghamton topped Richmond 5-1 with starter Matt Bowman giving up just three hits in six innings of work. Brian Burgamy provide the offensive fireworks with a grand slam home run.
Last night's victory was the B-Mets seventh in their past nine outings. They come into tonight's contest with a record of 39-31. Richmond, the Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, checks in at 39-29.
Greg Peavey is Binghamton's scheduled starter tonight. He is 4-1 with the B-Mets. He spent much of May with Triple-A Las Vegas where he went 0-3. Left-hander Jack Snodgrass gets the nod for the Flying Squirrels. He is 7-0 with an ERA of 2.53.
