Binghamton Mets Host Trenton For Five In A Row
The Binghamton Mets open a five-game series against the Trenton Thunder tonight at NYSEG Stadium. The B-Mets are coming off a 6-3 win last night against the Reading Fightin Phils. Wilfredo Tovar hit a solo home run and Rhyne Hughes drove in a pair of runs as Mark Cohoon picked-up his fifth win of the season. Jeff Walters came on in the ninth inning to notch his league-leading 28th save. The win was the rubber game of the three-game series. Binghamton has won 19 series so far this season.
Darin Gorski makes the start for the B-Mets tonight. He is making his seventh start this season and is 3-0. Opposing him is Trenton's Nik Turley who is 7-5. The B-Mets are a season-high 26 games over the .500 mark and carry a record of 64-38 into play tonight. Trenton trails the B-Mets in the Eastern Division by 12 1/2 games.
