The Binghamton Mets resume play tonight following a two-day break in the schedule for the Eastern league All-Star Game.  The Trenton Thunder invade NYSEG Stadium tonight at 6:35 (air at 6:20 on News Radio 1290 WNBF) to begin a four-game series with Binghamton.

Coming into tonight’s contest Binghamton is in second place in the Eastern Division of the Eastern league.  The B-Mets are 4.5 games in back of first-place Portland.  The Thunder check in with a record of 44-53…19 games behind Portland and in fifth place in the division.

Binghamton and Trenton will become quite familiar with each other over the next couple of weeks.  Following this weekend’s series the two meet in Trenton next weekend for another four-game series.  In all the two teams tangle in eight of the next 11 games.
