The Binghamton Mets homestand continues tonight as they welcome the Akron Aeros to NYSEG Stadium for a 6:35 game.  The B-Mets are coming off a doubleheader split against Harrisburg yesterday.

As the B-Mets begin the week they carry a record of 19-18 and have won two of four games on this current 7-game homestand.  Binghamton is in fourth place in the Eastern League's East Division, four games behind Portland.  Akron is also 19-18 and in second  place in the West Division, four in back of Erie.

Akron is paced in batting by Chun Chen with a.331 average.  Jose Flores is 3-0 with a.96 ERA.  For the B-Mets Cory Vaughan is hitting  .271 while Logan Verrett continues to pace the B-Mets pitching staff with a record of 5-0.

Thist is the first of three straight home games against the Aeros.  Tonight, fans get a special deal with a $7.00 purchase getting them a ticket to the game along with a hot dog and soda.  Airtime tonight is 6:20 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
