Binghamton Mets Home Tonight
Following a day off yesterday the Binghamton Mets return to action tonight as they host the Richmond Flying Squirrels at 6:35 (6:20 airtime on News Radio 1290 WNBF). Tonight is the first of three in a row against Richmond at NYSEG Stadium.
On Sunday evening the Erie SeaWolves snapped Binghamton's six-game winning streak with a 5-3 decision over the B-Mets. Coming into this series Binghamton is seven games above the .500 mark with a record of 38-31. Richmond is eleven games above .500 with a 39-28 slate.
Matt Bowman gets the start for the B-Mets. He brings a 4-4 record into the game. Left-hander Ty Blach will be on the hill for the Flying Squirrels. His season record is 4-3.
Brian Burgamy has been hot at the plate for the B-Mets. He was named the Eastern League Player of the Week for his play last week. Over last week's span he was 12-24, had three doubles and three home runs and drove in nine runs. He has hit safely in eight of his last ten plate appearances.
