Heading into tonight's meeting Binghamton is still two games in back of the Portland Sea Dogs in the Eastern League's Eastern Division.  The Sea Dogs are also down to their last four games in the regular season.  If Portland holds on and captures first place they will play the first two playoff games at Binghamton next Wednesday and Thursday in 6:35 starts.  Game three would be in Portland as would games four and five if necessary.  Both the Division Championship Round and the League Championship Round are best of five series.

Tonight the B-Mets have Steven Matz on the hill.  He is 6-4 with an ERA of 2.17.  Adalberto Mejia counters for Richmond.  He is 6-9 with a 4.85 ERA.

The  teams meet in a night game tomorrow, a day game on Sunday and wrap-up the regular campaign with a 12:05 PM contest on Labor Day.
