The Binghamton Mets hit the road for a week after wrapping up a seven-game home stand May 7.  The B-Mets got a walk-off game-winning  RBI single from Jared King to top the Portland Sea Dogs 5-4 to split their series at two wins apiece.

In the first game of the 3- game road series against the Akron Rubber Ducks, the B-Mets managed to hang on for a 4-3 win.

Right-hander Luis Cessa got the start for Binghamton while another right-hander, Mike Clevinger, was on the mound for Akron.

In the just completed home stand, Josh Rodriguez continued his torrid hitting pace. He drove in Binghamton's first four runs against the Sea Dogs including his sixth home run of the season.  Rodriguez is hitting at a .333 clip which is ninth best in the Eastern League.  His sixth home run is tops in the circuit and his 22 runs batted in tie him with Portland's Jantzen White for the league lead.
