The Binghamton Mets play the second of a three-game series in Altoona tonight as they face the Curve.  Altoona is the Double-A afiiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Last night Mark Cohoon earned his sixth win of the season as the B-Mets edged the Curve 3-2.  Tonight Darin Gorski (3-1) gets the start against Altoona's Jameson Taillon (4-7).  The B-Mets enter tonight's contest with a record of 67-41, 12 games ahead of the Trenton Thunder and 13 and one-half games ahead of Portland in the Eastern Division.  Altoona is 50-57 and eight games in back of Harrisburg in the Western Division.

Cesar Puello leads the Eastern League with a .333 batting average and Allan Dykstra is second in home runs with 18...one behind Jim Murphy of Reading.  In the pitching department Jeff Walters continues to lead the EL in saves with 30 saves.  In wins both Logan Verrett and Erik Goeddel have nine.  Akron's Matt Packer is the only pitcher to reach 10 wins so far.

The B-Mets travel to Harrisburg following their series in Altoona.  They will play three games against the Senators and following a day off on Monday return home to host Altoona for three straight starting next Tuesday, August 6.
