The Binghamton Mets were unable to capture the magic of last night's dramatic come-from-behind win tonight at NYSEG Stadium as they were shutout 7-0 by the Portland Sea Dogs.  The win for Portland evens the best-of-five series at 1-1.  The series moves to Portland for game three tomorrow night at 6 PM (airtime at 5:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  Game four is set for Portland at 6 PM Saturday and if a game five is necessary it would be played at 1 PM Sunday also in Portland.

The Sea Dogs jumped on Binghamton starter Greg Peavey for five runs in the second inning.  First baseman Stefan Welch ripped a pair of home runs in a 2-4 showing. Welch's second long fly chased Peavey to start the third inning.  On the night Peavey gave up eight hits and six runs of which only two were earned.

Justin Haley got the start and the win for Portland.  Tomorrow night Binghamton will start Steven Matz on the mound.  Eduardo Rodriguez is the scheduled Portland starter.
