The 2014 Eastern League Championship could be decided tonight at NYSEG Stadium when the Binghamton Mets host the Richmond Flying Squirrels at 7:05.  Binghamton leads the best-of-five series two games to none.  A Binghamton victory gives the B-Mets the Championship.  If the Flying Squirrels win the series will continue tomorrow night at 7:05.

The B-Mets have won two Eastern League Championships in 1992 and 1994 but have not been to the final round of the playoffs since the 1994 campaign.  Left-hander Steven Matz gets the start for Binghamton while Ty Blach gets the nod for the Flying Squirrels.

During the regular season the two teams have met in three seasons and it has been all or nothing.  The B-Mets wept two of the three series while Richmond swept the last series of the regular season.

Airtime tonight is 6:50 from NYSEG Stadium on News Radio 1290 WNBF.  As of 4:30 PM approximately 500 tickets remain for tonight's game.
