Binghamton Mets Close Homestand Tonight
The Binghamton Mets finish their opening homestand of the season by hosting the Erie SeaWolves tonight at 6:35 ((6:20 airtime on News Radio 1290 WNBF). The B-Mets have been battling rain and cold temperatures and have had two games rained out in the past week.
Last night The Binghamton Mets rolled to a 7-2 win over the SeaWolves. Matt Clark, who played last season in Japan, collected three hits including a home run. Darrell Ceciliani drove in three runs with a pair of doubles to also pace the B-Mets attack. Cody Satterwhite earned the win in relief of starter Greg Peavey.
Binghamton upped its record to 3-2 while Erie falls to 2-2. Tonight right-hander Matt Bowman makes his Double-A debut against Erie's Jeff Ferrell. Following tonight's game the B-Mets hit the road for one week. They will play four in a row at New Hampshire starting tomorrow night at 6:35 then travel to Portland, Maine to face the Sea Dogs for three more. Binghamton returns home on Thursday, April 17 versus New Hampshire at 6:35 PM.
