After last night's doubleheader sweep at the hands of the Portland Sea Dogs the Binghamton Mets have lost four games in a row.  The B-Mets lost the first game last night 5-1 and the nightcap 6-5.

In the first game Luis Cessa suffered the loss in his first game at Double-A.  Matt Bowman was charged with all six runs as Binghamton gave up five runs in the fifth inning and could not come back to muster any offense against relief pitcher Robby Scott and the Sea Dogs.

Tonight is the sixth and final game in the four-day series between the two teams.  The B-Mets will have Rainy Lara on the mound for his eighth start of the season against Portland's Mickey Pena.  Lara is 4-1 while Pena is 2-0.

Binghamton's record has dropped to 24-20 while the Sea Dogs are 30-15.  Infielder Matt Reynolds has an eight-game hitting streak going and has moved his batting average to .344, fourth among Eastern League hitters.

Tonight's game begins at 6:00 PM with airtime at 5:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.  The B-Mets return home for seven consecutive games beginning tomorrow night  at 7:05 when they host the New Britain Rock Cats at NYSEG Stadium.
