Binghamton Mets fans got a double-shot of good news last night.  Prior to the electrifying walk-off game-winning home run from TJ Rivera to upend the Portland Sea Dogs 8-5 in the opening playoff game it was announced that the B-Mets have extended their lease to play at NYSEG Stadium through the 2021season.  The current lease has two more seasons to go and the extension adds five more.  The lease with the Stadium does not include a player affiliation agreement which is a separate deal with the New York Mets organization.

The announcement was made on the field and included Binghamton Mets President Mike Urda, General Manager Jim Weed, Binghamton Mayor Rich David and New York State Senator Tom Libous.  Senator Libous secured a state appropriation of $200,000 to be used for stadium upgrades to the field and dugouts.
