Two long-time rivals clash tonight at the Events Center in men's basketball when the Albany Great Danes visit the Binghamton Bearcats for a 7 PM tip-off (airtime at 6:50 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  Binghamton has won its last two games including an overtime 72-71 victory in New Hampshire last Wednesday.  The Great Danes have lost two of their last three contests and topped Maine 74-63 last Saturday in Albany.

Binghamton's record is 3-9 in America East and 6-19 overall.  Six total wins doubles last season's total.  The Bearcats had not won back-to-back conference games since January 10 -12, 2011 when they defeated Stony Brook and UMBC.  Albany is 7-6 in AE play and 13-13 overall.

At the Division I level the series is tied at 13.  Albany has the big edge in recent meetings with seven straight wins.  At home the Bearcats are 8-5 versus the Great Danes since BU went Division I.  In Albany back on January 20 of this season the Great Danes downed Binghamton 66-60.  Freshman Nick Madray had a chance to put the Bearcats ahead in the closing seconds but missed a three-point shot and Albany center John Puk made a pair of free throws to ice the win.
