Two Binghamton men have been arrested following an investigation into the reported theft of jewelry from a town of Union resident.

Authorities say 33-year-old Jamison Turkow was accused of stealing items valued at more than $1,000.

Turkow allegedly gave the jewelry to 30-year-old Michael Bill to sell to a pawn shop.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, Bill was arrested late last month. Turkow was apprehended Thursday evening.

Authorities say Turkow was found hiding in a home on West End Avenue in Binghamton.

Turkow was charged with felony grand larceny. Bill was charged with misdemeanor possession of stolen property.

Investigators say Turkow had been sought on a state parole warrant. They say he'd been hiding with friends in Broome County in an effort to elude police.
