Binghamton Men Arrested in Home Invasion Attack
TIMOTHY ELLIS [New York State Police photo][/caption]State police say two suspects have been charged in connection with a violent home invasion incident in Broome County that occurred in 2010.
Authorities say 25-year-old Timothy Ellis of Conklin Avenue and 36-year-old Dustin Buckley of South Washington Street were arrested following a five-year investigation.
Investigators say Ellis and Buckley have been charged with first-degree burglary. Ellis also has been charged with second-degree attempted murder.
Police say a 50-year-old woman sustained severe injuries when she was attacked in her home at 124 Walters Road in the town of Barker.
The home invasion happened in the early-morning hours of September 1, 2010. The attack was reported after the badly-hurt woman was discovered by a relative.
Ellis and Buckley were arraigned in Barker town court. They were sent to Broome County Jail without bail.
