Mayor Richard David spoke about the status of Binghamton Police Chief Joseph Zikuski after Officer Kristi Sager filed a discrimination complaint with the state Division of Human Rights.

David was interviewed Tuesday morning on WNBF Radio's Binghamton Now program following his announcement that he had placed Zikuski on paid administrative leave until further notice.

The mayor said he had appointed William Yeager, an assistant chief, to be acting police chief.
