Federal prosecutors say a Binghamton man will serve 17 and a half years in prison followed by 20 years probation after being found guilty of sex trafficking of children.

Officials say 26 year old Antonio Ballard was convicted last spring on eight counts relating to operating a sex trafficking and prostitution business involving three girls.

Ballard was accused of marketing the girls for sex and demanding half of the money they made from clients in exchange for what he said was security and housing.

Ballard also photographed the children and posted advertisements on an internet site.
