Binghamton Man Jailed After Apalachin Crash

A Broome County man faces a felony DWI count and other charges following a vehicle crash in the Town of Owego.

Authorities say 46-year-old Christopher Duryea of Orton Avenue, Binghamton, was arrested around 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

According to the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred on Pennsylvania Avenue in Apalachin.

Investigators say Duryea was charged with felony driving while intoxicated. He also was accused of first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating a motor vehicle without an interlock device and refusal of a breath screening device.

Duryea was arraigned in Spencer town court. He was sent to Tioga County Jail without bail.
