Broome County Sheriff’s officials say they had to subdue a Binghamton man with a Taser after he fought with them as they tried to take him into custody.

Authorities say they responded to Sarah Lane in the Town of Union at around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, December 26 for an intoxicated man yelling, swearing and repeatedly honking a car horn.

37 year old Sean Cobb was found lying on the ground and struggled with officers.

Even after being stunned with the Taser, authorities say Cobb continued to be combative and hit his head against the window of the patrol car.

He was sent to the Broome County Jail on $1,000 bail and authorities say he continued to struggle at the jail intake and refused to be processed by Corrections Officers.
