Binghamton Man Dies in Head-On Crash

A Binghamton man is dead following a head-on crash shortly after 12 a.m. May 1 in the Town of Kirkwood.

Broome County Sheriff’s officials say 71 year old James Church attempted to make a left turn from Court Street to Loughlin Road and failed to yield to a north bound vehicle.

Church was transferred to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse where he died Friday night.

Church was not wearing a seat belt.

Officials say the driver of the other vehicle, 48 year old Dawn Robinson of Binghamton was treated for minor injuries and released from Wilson Hospital.
