An early-morning vehicle stop in the Town of Dickinson resulted in several charges for a driver.

Authorities say 27-year-old Sharome Scott of Morgan Street, Binghamton, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to sell. Those are felony counts.

Scott also was charged with marijuana possession and driving with no headlights.

Investigators say Scott was discovered to be in possession of some marijuana and several "ecstasy" pills.

Scott was driving a vehicle that was pulled over on Front Street around 1:30 Monday morning.

Scott was arraigned in Chenango town court and sent to Broome County Jail without bail.

According to the sheriff's office, once at the jail, Scott was found to have secreted several bags of marijuana in his rectum.
