A suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident on Binghamton's South Side.

Authorities say 20-year-old Ryan Rafferty of Belden Street has been charged with first-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Investigators say shots were fired in the area of 35 Saratoga Avenue shortly after 11 p.m. November 1. There were no reports of anyone being hit by the gunfire.

Detectives recovered spent shell casings at the scene but they have not found the handgun used in the incident.

Police say Rafferty was arrested November 2. He was arraigned in Binghamton City Court and sent to Broome County Jail.
