City police say a Binghamton man has been charged in connection with a pair of armed robberies at a Rite Aid Pharmacy on the East Side.

Investigators say 24-year-old Richard Proper Jr. was arrested Wednesday.

Proper faces two felony counts of first-degree robbery for the incidents at the Rite Aid store at 67 Robinson Street.

The heists occurred on Friday and on Sunday. No injuries were reported in the robberies.

Authorities say a man armed with a knife was the suspect in each incident. They say about $500 was taken in Friday's robbery and $194 was stolen in the Sunday incident.

Detectives say Proper is a suspect in other Binghamton incidents.

Investigators asked anyone with information about Proper's activities to call 607.772.7080.
