A Binghamton man is accused of selling drugs out of a room at a hotel near Roberson Museum that has been known by numerous names over the past few years.

The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force raided a room at the Comfortel, formerly the Ramada Inn and Carousel Inn on Front Street June 1 and say they recovered 101 bags of heroin and cash.

58 year old Frederick Paterson is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Officials say they believe the $1,353 they found in the room were proceeds from drug sales.

Paterson was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
