Investigators say a 44-year-old man who was stabbed in the chest was listed in critical condition at Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City. They say a 43-year-old man who sustained a stab wound to his torso was less seriously hurt.

Detectives say Al was arrested around 9 p.m. not far from the Henry Street building. The stabbing occurred in a hallway of the rooming house.

Al was charged with second-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault. He was arraigned in Binghamton City Court and sent to Broome County Jail without bail.
