Binghamton Man Accused of Stealing Expensive Sunglasses

Johnson City police have arrested a man in connection with the theft of a dozen pairs of expensive sunglasses.

Authorities say 35-year-old Jerry Arnold II of Binghamton has been charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony.

Investigators say Arnold is accused of stealing the Ray-Ban sunglasses worth $1,659 from the Sears store in the Oakdale Mall on April 25.

Police say the retail prices of the sunglasses ranged from $75 to $160. They have not been recovered.

Arnold already was being held in Broome County Jail on a parole violation.
