Johnson City police say a man faces several charges after a reported domestic dispute.

Authorities say 45-year-old Jeffrey Taylor of Binghamton was arrested after the incident at the residence of a former girlfriend.

Investigators say Taylor violated an order of protection. They say he allegedly grabbed the woman by her neck and hit her several times.

Police say Taylor returned to the woman's home the following day. He was arrested a short time later.

Taylor was charged with felony and misdemeanor counts of criminal contempt. He also was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and criminal mischief.

Taylor was arraigned in Johnson City Village Court and sent to Broome County Jail.
