Binghamton Lawyers Review Police Procedures

A Binghamton law firm is reviewing the conduct of the City Police Department following allegations of sexual harassment against the Police Chief.

City officials have confirmed that Coughlin & Gerhart had been selected to conduct the review.

According to the Mayor’s office, the process may take over a month.

Binghamton Police Chief Joseph Zikuski is on paid administrative leave while the investigation is underway after Police Officer Kristi Sager filed a claim against Zikuski and the City of Binghamton with the State Division of Human Rights.

Sager is under investigation for allegedly leaving her post while on duty and misconduct.
