The candidates for mayor in Binghamton and Johnson City will discuss the issues facing their communities in a pair of live radio debates scheduled for this month.

The discussions will be broadcast on WNBF Radio's Binghamton Now program.

The Johnson City mayoral candidates have agreed to appear on the program on Thursday, October 26. Republican incumbent Greg Deemie is being challenged by Democrat Andrew Holbert, who is chairman of the village planning board.

The Binghamton mayoral candidates plan to appear on the program on Monday, October 30. Republican incumbent Richard David is being challenged by Democrat Tarik Abdelazim, a former Binghamton planning, housing and community development director.

Both debates are scheduled to start at 10:10 a.m. They will be heard on News Radio 1290 WNBF and on wnbf.com.
