As the New York Mets continue to battle for a post-season playoff berth a large contingent of players who saw action in Binghamton dot the current 40-man active roster.  Not including David Wright and four others who are on the injured list no less than 25 players listed on New York's current roster have played in Binghamton.

Those on New York's roster include veterans like Jose Reyes who played here early in his career and again this season on the way back up along with young players trying to stick at the Big League level like Michael Conforto, Gabriel Ynoa and T.J.Rivera.

One of the young standouts is pitcher Steven Matz.

Matz has been on the 15-day disabled list since mid-August with a sore shoulder.  He may be able to return this weekend.  His record is 9-8 with an ERA of 3.40 in 22 starts this season.  Matz had two different stints here in Binghamton.
