The 56th Annual Columbus Day Tournament of Marching Bands Parade and Italian Festival will be held in Binghamton on Columbus Day.

The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. near the American Legion on Main Street and continues through the downtown area to the Courthouse.

According to organizer Ron Sall, speaking with Roger Neel on News Radio 1290 WNBF on October 9, nine bands will be performing.

Mirabito Energy Products is the primary sponsor for the day's events.

Once again, the Grand Marshall for the parade will be John DiMenna.  Splash will perform after the parade near Boscov's.

High school marching bands performing and competing include: Mexico (New York) Middle School, Binghamton, Johnson City, Vestal, Union-Endicott, Whitney Point, Williamson, Deposit and Northeast Bradford.

Featured Italian groups include the Men's and Women's Lodge Sons of Italy, Women's Abruzzee Club and St. Mary's Church.
