City of Binghamton Police say 21 year old Trevis Johnson, who gave no permanent address, is charged in connection with the shooting death of 27 year old Sergio Beldo Friday morning at a Westside apartment building.

Police Chief Joseph Zikuski says more arrests are expected as the investigation continues.

Beldo was found at 1:49 a.m. Friday in the doorway of a second floor apartment at 30 Mather Street with a single shot to the chest.  Police say the murder weapon was a long gun and several shots may have been fired.

Chief Zikuski confirms at least three people were seen fleeing in a vehicle but witness descriptions of the getaway car have varied.

Police have not given a suspected motive for the shooting.

Johnson has been charged with second degree murder. He was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
