Binghamton Hockey Hall Inducts Two

The Binghamton Hockey Hall of Fame inducted two new members on Friday night prior to the Binghamton Devils home game against Syracuse.  Former Binghamton Senator enforcer Brian McGrattan and Duster and Whalers' coach Larry Kish were honored with induction into the Hall.

McGrattan played three seasons in Binghamton and then went on to play for four National Hockey League teams including Binghamton's parent Ottawa Senators.  Kish coached the Broome Dusters and Binghamton Whalers.  His most successful campaign came in the 1981-82 season when he led Binghamton to the American Hockey League's Southern Division Championship and into the Calder Cup finals losing to the New Brunswick Hawks 4 games to 1.

Both inductees were unable to attend the induction ceremonies in person but sent video acceptance speeches that were played for the fans on hand.  With the induction of McGrattan and Kish the Binghamton Hockey Hall of Fame now has 51 members.

The Binghamton Hockey Hall of Fame was established in 1998 and honors outstanding individuals who have made major contributions to hockey and to the local community during their careers.
