Two ex-Binghamton Patriot standouts helped the Canisius Golden Griffins earn a road win over the Binghamton Bearcats in women's basketball last night at the Events Center.  Senior guard Jen Morabito and sophomore guard Tiahanna Mills, both graduates of Binghamton High School, helped lead Canisius to a 66-53 decision.

Both guards garner plenty of playjng time for the Golden Griffins. Morabito is averaging 29 minutes per game.  Last night she scored on a pair of 3-pointers for 6 points.  On the season she is shooting 45%  from beyond the arc and averages 11.8 points per game.

Mills is averaging 27 minutes per game.  She knocked down 15 points last night.and is shooting 44% from the field.  Last night she was 8-9 at the free throw line versus the Bearcats.

With the victory Canisius moves to 3-1.  The Bearcats were led by Sherae Swinson with 17 points and Vaneeshia Paulk with 11 points.  The loss puts Binghamton's record at 0-3.  NU travels to Niagara for a 2 PM tip-off this Saturday. Airtime is 1:45 PM on ESPN 1360 AM with Tim Heiman.
