Binghamton Grant Decisions To Be Revealed

Binghamton government officials and prospective developers have gotten  a state announcement on another round of economic development grants.

The city has been seeking financial support for projects in the downtown business district and on the West Side.

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Mark Yonaty of Greater Binghamton Development has proposed a multi-use building for a city-owned site on the southeast corner of Court and State streets. A $500,000 grant is being sought for that project.

A project planned by Newman Development Group would put a former hotel building at 50 Front Street back into use. A $3 million grant is being sought for the project.
