Binghamton University freshman Dusan Perovic has been named the America East Rookie of the Week.  Perovic from Podgorica, Montenegro set a Binghamton single game scoring record with 34 points against Boston University last Wednesday in Boston.  He followed that up with 16 points against Penn on Saturday.  His 34 points broke the record of 33 set by Jordan Reed last season against Hartford. It is also the most points scored by an America East player since Stony Brook's Anthony Jackson scored 36 in November, 2013.

For the week Perovic averaged 25 points per game.  Heading into tonight's home game against Caldwell University Perovic is averaging 13.2 points per game and is hitting 50 percent of his shots and a blistering 62 percent (16-26) from three-point range which is the best in America East.
