The Binghamton man accused of murdering his estranged wife and her friend March 22nd at the woman's home on Lisi Lane in the Town of Binghamton will not be given the opportunity to post bail.  Bail for 39 year old Aaron Powell was denied in Broome County Court this week.

Powell was on the run for four days after the bodies of 35 year old Christina Rumpel-Powell and 24 year old Mario Masciarelli were found in Rumpel-Powell's home by law enforcement officials who had been alerted that family members were unable to contact the woman and she had failed to appear at work.  Powell was picked up in Montrose March 26th after contacting a close friend and a family member, saying he planned to turn himself in.

Powell was charged with two counts of homicide and pleaded not guilty in Broome County Court.
