The Binghamton Devils won their third consecutive game Friday night in Allentown as they defeated the Lehigh Valley Phantoms 2-1.  Goaltender Evan Cormier turned aside 30 shots to earn the win.  Nick Lappin scored the game-winning goal.  It was his 12th goal of the season.  The first Binghamton goal was scored by Ryan Schmelzer.  It was his seventh goal of the season.

The Devils are home tonight (Saturday) for a 7:05 P.M. game with the Cleveland Monsters at the Floyd L Maines Veterans Memorial Arena.  This looms as a big game for both teams.  The Monsters are right above the Devils in the North Division standings.  Cleveland has a record of 18-14-4-1 for 41 points...good for fifth place in the North.  Binghamton is 18-20-3-0 for 39 points.
