Anytime Binghamton and Rochester hockey teams meet there is sure to be plenty of excitement and lots of fireworks.  The two long-time rivals collide again this Saturday night at 7:05 P.M. at the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena.

Rochester comes into this weekend's action on top of the standings in the American Hockey League's North Division.  The Amerks are 12-5-2-0 with 26 points.  Syracuse and Cleveland are tied for second place with 23 points each and the Devils are in fourth place with a record of 9-10-3-0 good for 21 points.  Binghamton is just five points out of first place and with a swing of four points on the line on Saturday night it looms as a key early season showdown.

On Wednesday night the Devils downed the Utica Comets 4-2.  The Devils are idle Friday night but after their home game versus Rochester on Saturday night they travel to Hershey for a late afternoon game on Sunday.
